Good to see you writing again! Seeing MY union acting so badly makes me sick to my stomach. No wonder we get so little support and unions are dying. 85% of the students (who appeared to be almost all black) going on to college? Let’s compare that to the God-awful rates in Detroit or Chicago publics. It’s unfortunately easy to see that these teachers (?) care more about protecting their jobs than they do the success of the children. I’m soooooo sick of the “forget the old or the young, gimme, gimme.” attitude of my generation.
